Zero sense

Food supply problems are spreading for Shanghai’s 25 million residents, who have been living under a city-wide lockdown imposed by the Chinese government as part of its strict zero-COVID policy. With videos emerging on Chinese social media of people on their balconies banging pots and pans, calling for supplies and yelling, “We’re starving to death,” a joke is circulating in the city that the government doesn’t care if you die, as long as it’s not from COVID.
